Welcome to the “Beyond Back Pain” video series!

Video 01: A brief introduction of who I am and how I got to this place, as well as a quick discussion about the benefits of this course and an overview of what is happening inside your body. We will go into more detail about the specifics of chronic pain in later videos.

Video 02: This video discusses how the course is meant to be used as well as two very important principles to understand as you move forward with the material.

Video 03: “The Importance of Having a Dream”

HOMEWORK: Write down your dream(s), your BIG reason why you want to be successful in this course and email it to info@drmikemurray.com so that I can support you and hold you accountable for achieving your dream.

Video 04: BOUNDARIES!! This video is VERY important. You will learn three ways that you are going to create boundaries in your life to give yourself the time and energy that you need in order to heal.

Video 05: In this video I discuss the power of the practice of Gratitude and the research supported influence that it has in your life.

HOMEWORK: For the next 8 weeks you are to keep a morning Gratitude journal. Taking 5-10 minutes out of your morning to focus on the positive things in your life will have a MASSIVE effect on your health and well-being. You do not need to send this assignment into me, but I will be following up with you on this topic to make sure you are implementing it as much as possible.

Remember, those who put in the time and energy to implement these strategies are the ones who get the best results.

Video 06: Two last assignments for the week.

#1) Go out to the store and buy a journal and/or some loose leaf paper.

#2) Write out all of the chronic repetitive thoughts that you experience day in and day out, each one on it’s own sheet of paper and spread it all out on the floor. Be sure to include “The good. The bad. And the ugly.”

HOMEWORK: After you complete the writing exercise in this video and have stepped back to take a look at it all, I want you to snap a quick photo of the pile and send it off to info@drmikemurray.com so that I know you have completed the exercise.
